Education
  • 1967 - Graduated from The Hill School, Pottstown, Pa. Mark built many pieces of furniture in the boarding school shop under the guidance of a master craftsman, Karl A. Pacanovsky.
  • 1971 - A.B. degree in Fine Arts from Dartmouth College
  • 1974 - Masters in Architecture from University of Pennsylvania GSFA
Career in Architecture

From 1974 to 2007 Mark worked for architecture firms in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

He was licenced as an architect in 1975 and joined The Weihe Partnership (now WDG) in 1979, where he became a design partner in 1986.

Mark designed many buildings and planning projects in Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland. He retired in 2007 to pursue his interest in studio art furniture.
